Neil Symes for Jordon
Neil is a former Queensland Member of Parliament who was first elected in 2012 at the age of 23. He oversaw the delivery of more than $500 million worth of funding initiatives throughout his electorate from 2012 to 2015. Neil holds a double degree in Criminology and Human Services and has worked with disadvantaged Queenslanders throughout Brisbane’s southside.
Neil understands the meaning of hard work. Whilst completing his degrees at Griffith University he worked in a local deli on the southside right up until being elected to Parliament. His knowledge, experience, and ability to roll up his sleeves to get the job done will serve the people of Jordan well. Neil has served the wider Queensland community in many ways including Lions, Rotary, and assisting many ex-service associations, to name a few. Post COVID-19, Queensland must develop a genuine roadmap for an economic recovery that will provide real job opportunities in local manufacturing for Greenbank, Carole Park, and the greater Springfield area. Neil will offer a strong voice and stand up for the people of Jordan while fighting to ensure Ipswich and Logan receive their fair share of funding and services.
